Garth Brooks Tour Income has the country music legend back on top for revenue. Kenny Chesney may be the king of the stadiums with his record breaking attendances, but Garth Brooks kills it with raking in the touring dough.
Brooks has recently claimed two coveted touring achievements: The top spot on Forbes‘ 2015 Highest-Paid Country Acts list AND the No. 2 spot on Pollstar‘s list of the top-grossing North American touring artists for the first half of 2015.
Brooks, who has earned $79.9 million in revenue from 74 shows played this year, missed the No. 1 spot which was claimed by the Rolling Stones, who have made $80.5 million so far in 2015.
Fleetwood Mac came in at No. 3, having earned $65.9 million thus far in 2015, while Kenny Chesney came in at No. 4, earning $55.8 million so far in 2015, and U2 claimed the fifth spot ($40.3 million).
Brooks launched his three-year World Tour with wife Trisha Yearwood last year, and says that things will get a little different this month starting in Dallas, Texas.
“We have taken a lot of looks at what’s working, got rid of things that weren’t, and we’re coming out with a brand-new look,” Brooks says.
“We’re gonna re-design the whole video world, the wings of the stage are a little different, and the setlist is kind of … it’s starting to fall into the sweet spot.”
His re-designed Dallas shows ae scheduled for Sept. 17-22. Check out more tour dates below!
