Country icon Faith Hill and her husband, Tim McGraw, are currently on the road for their Soul2Soul Tour. They recently played a show in Tupelo, Mississippi, where Hill got to meet one of her youngest fans named Rosie. At first, Rosie was shy, but she quickly became comfortable when Hill knelt down to meet her at eye-level.
Rosie’s day was made when she got to meet her favorite singer, but Faith Hill’s day was made when she saw a video of Rosie singing. That’s when she knew wanted to meet the young girl in person. Hill said to her, “You just made my day when I saw your video! You’re precious.”
The two then sang a duet cover of her hit “Mississippi Girl” at Rosie’s request because they are both ‘Mississippi girls.’ Rosie starts off the song without hesitation, and then Hill joins in at the chorus. The 2005 hit was the first single from Faith Hill’s Fireflies album.
Hill shared an adorable video of the encounter on Instagram. Rosie is clearly a natural, even singing next to her country music idol. Check it out below!
When they finish the short sing-along, Rosie’s face lights up as she hugs Hill. The room broke out in applause, and Hill was just as happy making a sweet memory with one of her fans.
The duet with Rosie is just one of the special moments Hill and McGraw have had since being on tour. They opened tour in New Orleans, where the married country superstars helped an expecting couple with a gender reveal. This tour also marks Hill’s first road tour in 10 years!
Hill and McGraw’s Soul2Soul Tour is scheduled through October. Their upcoming album is their first-ever joint album, which includes “Speak to a Girl,” and it is expected to be released before the end of 2017. “Speak to a Girl” debuted on stage during a live performance at the 2017 ACM Awards on April 2nd. The two also recently signed new record deals with Sony Music Nashville.
Don’t forget to share this precious video with other country music fans!
