This is downright hilarious. WGNA’s Nick Kessler sat down with Eric Paslay and put him through the most uncomfortable 3 minutes of his life.
Kessler’s interview immediately started off on an awkward note, as he points out that his nerves from being on-air were causing him to sweat profusely. So to lighten the mood and ease the tension, he offers Paslay a Twinkie. Paslay is diabetic… oops.
Paslay chuckled, responding to the gesture saying “I’ll bring the insulin.”
Lucky for Paslay, Kessler brought a banana along too. Which as it turns out, was not so lucky for Paslay after all. Because theres not many things as uncomfortable as speaking to someone while they eat a banana.
After breaking the ice so to speak, Kessler goes all over the place in his interview questions. He asks Paslay about his hit “Friday Night,” asking why not “Monday Night.” He throws in a little Game of Thrones talk and a few beard comments, mix it all together and you’ve got one awkward interview.
