Before performing to a sold-out crowd at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, country music star Eric Church got the chance to meet his Madame Tussauds wax figure now on display at the new Opry Mills Madame Tussauds Nashville location, which opened its doors on April 14th. Coming face to face with your look alike can be a fairly freaky experience, and Church surely felt the same way when he interacted with his waxy “twin.”
The Stapes Center posted a video on Facebook showing the impressed “Drink In My Hand” singer-songwriter walking around his wax self. His figure was dressed exactly like him, wearing a black leather jacket, dark sunglasses, and the same pair of shoes! The Madame Tussauds team of artists were spot-on when recreating his facial hair and skin tone!
Church was absolutely floored by how real the replica looked. “That is crazy,” he said, noticing that the skin tone matched his own perfectly. As he takes the sunglasses off of the figure and puts them back on, he stands in absolute awe. He says, “Never thought I’d do this,” as he comes face to face with his astonishing replica.
