Eli Young Band just released a powerful and inspiring music video for their single, "Love Ain't," featuring a wounded military veteran.

Country music group Eli Young Band recently dropped a powerful music video for their latest single, “Love Ain’t.” The visual story features Taylor Morris, a wounded military veteran, and his wife Danielle. The lyrics illustrate examples of what love isn’t, which is important in understanding exactly what love is.

The band wanted to honor military veterans and shed light on difficulties they often face at home. An explosion in Afghanistan rendered Morris a quadruple amputee. The injuries he sustained dramatically impacted his life and ability to live independently. Danielle put everything on hold in order to be at his side when he needed her most. Through the tragedy, the couple kept positive and leaned on each other for strength. Their extraordinary story shows what love is, and that’s exactly what this country music video is about.

As lead singer Mike Eli says in the lyrics of this tune, “Love Ain’t always easy, but that’s when it matters most.” Check out the video below!

“We first learned about Taylor and Danielle a couple of years ago, and there is no doubt their story speaks to what love is,” Eli said in a statement. “When thinking about their story and the deeper meaning in this song – how important love is and to know what love ain’t – we knew the video should reflect that. James, Chris, Jon and I all have family members who are part of the military, so we know there are more couples struggling every day and how quickly lives are changed.”

Eli Young Band wanted to shed light on the Wounded Warrior Project in particular because of what the organization does to empower, serve, and connect veterans. They also hope their music video makes viewers aware of the resources that the project can offer to service members. Visit the official website for more information on the  Wounded Warrior Project.

Bassist Jon Jones added, “It’s both heartbreaking and incredibly inspiring to see their bond yet know so many people have stories just like Taylor and Danielle’s … Helping to share these stories is the reason we chose to align with Wounded Warrior Project and encourage us all to recognize these heroes who prove what love can overcome.”
