Country music star Dustin Lynch’s girlfriend Kelli Seymour came into his life in a very modern way— through Instagram. Yes, Dustin totally slid into the beautiful California-based actress/model’s DMs.
“I was touring really heavily at the time … and it seemed like there was some chemistry there, so I was trying to figure out when I could go out and meet her for the first time in person,” the Tennessee native confessed on the Sam Alex Show. “My schedule just wasn’t allowing me that time to go do that, so I invited her out to a show in California.”
Kelli took him up on his invitation and brought a friend along. “You know, if she would’ve ended up being a whack-job or a weirdo, I could’ve been like, ‘Have a nice night. Enjoy the show. Bye,’” Lynch added— but things worked out.
“We ended up hitting it off and keeping in touch and seeing each other not long after, and still are,” the artist explained. “It’s been great. We’re able to make it work and not be away from each other too long of a time.”
As fans may recall, Dustin and Kelli made their public debut as a couple at November’s 2019 CMA Awards and have been an item for just over a year. According to her Instagram account, she’s from Mississippi!
“There’s something comfortable about us,” Lynch recently disclosed to People, adding that both of their families approve of their relationship. “Honestly, getting the thumbs up from my family is a big deal. And her family, too.”
According to Taste of Country, Dustin Lynch’s girlfriend inspired his new song “Country Star” off his new album, Tullahoma. As he puts down his roots in Tennessee, the singer-songwriter hopes to have the experiences described the the song with Kelli.
