Country music entertainer Dustin Lynch‘s new song “Small Town Boy” was released on February 17th and will appear on his upcoming third album. The song is a fusion of country and hip-hop music, but shifts to a steady beat of finger snaps for the verses.
Though he did not write the song himself, he sings it as if he connects with the lyrics personally. Maybe he has some special lady he’s not telling us about! Lynch first introduced the song to fans during live shows, where it received a warm reception from fans. The tune is the second single released from his upcoming third album, which remains unnamed.
Lynch brings romance to the song with the lyrics, talking about his “ride-or-die baby” and how he admires her. “Small Town Boy” is a slow-tempo song in comparison to his fourth straight No. 1 hit, “Seein’ Red,” which is seductive and upbeat. While experimenting with different song styles, the song stays rooted in country. He also doesn’t lose his Southern accent that everyone loves!
