Last week, country music icon Dolly Parton was honored with the ‘Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award’ during the 50th annual CMA Awards ceremony.
To mark the special occasion, Parton shared the very first song she ever recorded— called “Puppy Love”— with her Facebook fans.
It’s amazing how distinctive Dolly’s voice is, even at such a young age.
During the CMA Awards, Dolly’s “9 to 5″ co-star, Lilly Tomlin, presented the award calling her “one of the greatest artists in the history of country music.”
Jennifer Nettles, Pentatonix, Reba McEntire, Kacey Musgraves, Carrie Underwood, and Martina McBride then paid tribute to the pioneering singer-songwriter though a medley of notable songs from her career. Watch the 2019 MusiCares recap for Dolly Parton as she earns “Person of the Year” award.
