Dierks Bentley Joins Band, Opens Own Shows in Disguise

Country music star Dierks Bentley knows how to have a little fun. While on his What the Hell Tour with Cole Swindell and Jon Pardi in tow, the seasoned entertainer has been secretly taking the stage with the Bolo Boys Bluegrass Band, made up of his band members. Yes, the “Drunk On A Plane” singer is helping to open his own shows while donning a cowboy hat and sunglasses. (That’s him on the far right in the red shirt.)

Dierks loves bluegrass and his 2010 tune “Up On The Ridge” is just one example of his appreciation for this style of music. As expected, the Bolo Boys Bluegrass Band have played that particular tune among others. Check them out covering John Michael Montgomery’s hit song “Sold” below!

Okay, we want the Bolo Boys Bluegrass Band to be a real thing and put out an album. This isn’t the first time Bentley has taken on a different persona publicly—  he has also performed as part of ’90s country cover band dubbed Hot Country Knights in the past. Fellow country artists Miranda Lambert, Randy Houser, Lady Antebellum‘s Charles Kelley, and Kip Moore have also made HCK cameos with their buddy Dierks.
