Besides writing and performing his own material, Georgia native Sam Hunt has penned hits for other country music artists including Keith Urban and Kenny Chesney. In 2013, Hunt signed a record deal with MCA Nashville and launched his own recording career with the release of the single “Raised on It” and dropped his debut studio album Montevallo in late 2014. That record put the young artist on the map and spawned four singles including the international hit, “Take Your Time” which peaked at number 20 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Hot Country Songs chart.
Let’s take a look at Sam Hunt’s writing credits and the artists who recorded the pieces below…
“Come Over” recorded by Kenny Chesney, 2012
“We Are Tonight” recorded by Billy Currington, 2013
“Cop Car” recorded by Keith Urban, 2013
“I Met a Girl” recorded by William Michael Morgan, 2015
The singer-songwriter also wrote Dylan Scott’s “Catch Me If You Can,” Neal McCoy’s “Real Good Feel Good,” and Reba McEntire‘s “Love Somebody.”
