David Bowie (January 8, 1947- January 10, 2016) was one of those rare artists whose influence spans generations and genres.

David Bowie passed away January 10th after a quiet 18-month battle with cancer. Before his death and on his 69th birthday, Bowie released his Blackstar album as a farewell gift to his loyal fans.

The legendary entertainer’s death comes as a surprise— his terminal cancer diagnosis was kept extremely private. The enigmatic Rock and Roll Hall of Famer’s sphere of influence includes some top country music talent. The Doobie Brothers, Keith Urban, Jennifer Nettles, and Cassadee Pope were a few singer-songwriters who took to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to mark the loss of “Ziggy Stardust.”

 

Devastated to hear about the loss of a legend… David Bowie was an innovator and a pioneer. We are so sad to see him go. There’s no doubt he will be remembered throughout time.
