Favorite Country Male Artist

Rising star Maren Morris will compete against long standing Country Music stars Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood for the Favorite Country Female artist award.

 Favorite Country Duo or Group

Florida Georgia Line, Little Big Town and Old Dominion are competing for the AMA Award for Favorite Country Duo or Group.

 Favorite Country Album

The favorite Country Album nominees are:  Jason Aldean (They Don’t Know), Chris Stapleton (From a Room:  Volume 1) and Keith Urban (Ripcord).

 Favorite Country Song

The nominees for Favorite Country song include Sam Hunt (Body Like a Back Road), Jon Pardi (Dirt on My Boots), and Keith Urban (Blue Ain’t Your Color).

 As usual, most of the AMA performance are in the Pop, Rock and Hip Hop genres. Dick Clark productions and ABC announced superstar collaborations for the “2017 American Music Awards” from Alessia Cara and Zedd, as well as Hailee Steinfeld and Alesso featuring Florida Georgia Line and watt. Chart-topping band Portugal. The Man.  Additionally, multi-platinum artist Bebe Rexha will combine with Florida Georgia Line to treat American Music Awards fans to an encore performance for Xfinity TV customers, which will be available following the show on Xfinity On Demand.   The only performance in the Country Pop cross over space is Florida Georgia Line.  Florida Georgia Line’s Platinum-certified musical evolution, Dig Your Roots, propelled the history-making duo to No.1 on the all-genre Billboard Artist 100 and Top Country Albums charts. Continuing the epic momentum, the album has delivered three consecutive No. 1 Country Airplay smashes – the 3X Platinum-certified lead single “H.O.L.Y.” [also No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart for 18 straight weeks] and Platinum-certified hits “May We All” (featuring Tim McGraw) and “God, Your Mama, And Me” (featuring Backstreet Boys [the latter FGL’s 11th Country Airplay No. 1].

The official 2017 AMAs red carpet pre-show will be live streamed exclusively on Twitter and available globally for logged-in and logged-out audiences on Twitter and connected devices.  The American Music Awards nominees are based on key fan interactions as reflected in Billboard Magazine and on Billboard.com, including album and digital song sales, radio airplay, streaming, social activity and touring. These measurements are tracked by Billboard and its data partners, including Nielsen Music and Next Big Sound.

The AMAs Red Carpet Live Presented By Security Benefit starts runs from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. ET / 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Featuring hosts AJ GibsonMarc MalkinLaura Marano and Oliver Trevena, the pre-show will be exclusively on Twitter at live.twitter.com/amas.  The 2017 American Music Awards will broadcast live on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 19 (8:00–11:00 p.m. EST), on ABC. The show is also available to stream the online at ABC.com.
