Country star Cole Swindell is having a major week— while visiting the Country Music Association to share his brand new music video for “Middle of a Memory” he received the news that his hit “You Should Be Here,” a song he co-wrote with Ashley Gorley to honor the memory of his dad, was just certified Platinum by the RIAA for sales of 1 million.
An emotional Swindell then explained it was special to learn this news on his dad’s birthday – also the very day he would be honoring and remembering his father by performing “You Should Be Here” on the iconic Grand Ole Opry stage.
After his performance, the young talent was surprised by his team with a plaque celebrating the significant milestone of “You Should Be Here” having surpassed over 1 billion audience impressions, including 26 million streams of the video on his own YouTube channel alone. What an incredible accomplishment for the 33-year-old artist.
The Georgia native is currently on tour with Florida Georgia Line’s Dig Your Roots Tour. He will then hit the road on October 26th for his own headlining CMT Presents the Cole Swindell Down Home Tour in tandem with the October 28 release of his Down Home Sessions III EP.
Be sure to share this with other Cole Swindell fans!
