Country music singer-songwriter Cole Swindell’s hit-making streak continues as he notches his seventh consecutive No. 1 single “Flatliner,” which features fellow country star Dierks Bentley. “Flatliner” is Swindell’s tenth overall as a songwriter and breaks his own record, again, of being the only solo artist in the history of Country Aircheck/Mediabase to top the chart with his first seven singles.
Additionally, the music video for “Flatliner,” directed by Michael Monaco, is in the Top 5 and rising on CMT Hot 20 Countdown this week. Enjoy it below!
“Every No 1 is special for so many reasons,” shared Cole Swindell in a statment. “This one is really special because it’s a song I wrote with my mentor in mind. Never dreaming it would turn out like this for me! Dierks is not only my mentor but my friend and now I have a No 1 song I was blessed to get to record with him. He has been so gracious and supportive of me from the beginning. This feels amazing.”
“Flatliner,” written by Swindell along with Matt Bronleewe and Jaron Boyer, is the third single from Swindell’s sophomore album You Should Be Here which also includes his Platinum-selling, 1 billion audience reaching multi-week No. 1 “You Should Be Here” and his sixth consecutive and last No. 1 and Gold-certified “Middle of a Memory.” The Georgia native’s self-titled debut album included four consecutive No. 1 singles including the Gold-certified “Let Me See Ya Girl,” along with Platinum-certified hits “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight,” “Ain’t Worth The Whiskey,” and “Chillin’ It.”
Swindell finishes up his stint on Dierks Bentley’s 2017 WHAT THE HELL WORLD TOUR on September 2nd in Greenwood Village, Colorado.
Dang, girl, look at you
Stopping me in my boots
What’s a country boy to do, but say
Uh uh
Stop beating my chest up
You’re down right dangerous
That shake got me gitty up
Got my eyes what what
Sippin’ on this seven-seven
Never been this close to heaven
Got the pretty turned up to eleven
Droppin’ them dead on the dance floor
Somebody better call a doctor
She’s a little heart stopper
I’m talkin’ breaker breaker one-niner
She’s a flatliner, oh she’s a flatliner
Dang, girl, I’m done
I ain’t never seen no one
Poppin’ it like a cold one
Droppin’ down like oh oh
Oh my, I see the light
I don’t mean the neon kind
One kiss from you tonight will send me on to the other side
Sippin’ on this seven-seven
Never been this close to heaven
Got the pretty turned up to eleven
Droppin’ them dead on the dance floor
Somebody better call a doctor
She’s a little heart stopper
I’m talkin’ breaker breaker one-niner
She’s a flatliner, oh she’s a flatliner
Dang, girl, look at you
Stopping me in my boots
What’s a country boy to do
What would Dierk do
Yeah, sippin’ on this seven-seven
Never been this close to heaven
Got the pretty turned up to eleven
Droppin’ them dead on the dance floor
Somebody better call a doctor
She’s a little heart stopper
I’m talkin’ breaker breaker one-niner
She’s a flatliner
Sippin’ on this seven-seven
Never been this close to heaven
Got the pretty turned up to eleven
Droppin’ them dead on the dance floor
Somebody better call a doctor
She’s a little heart stopper
I’m talkin’ breaker breaker one-niner
She’s a flatliner, oh
She’s a flatliner
Yeah, she’s a flatliner
