Country music singer Cole Swindell is determined to stay true to himself as an artist with his new record.

Cole Swindell is preparing to release his third studio album and he is opening up about how it got its title. The “Break Up In The End” singer recalls finishing the album and then coming across a song that really resonated with him. That song would be called ‘All of It’ and ended up being the title track. Swindell actually went in and recorded the song long after the anticipated third album was finished.

“That’s always a fun thing to try to pick the title of the album, but it’s also hard because you’ve got songs you love, and sometimes they work as titles, sometimes they don’t, but ‘All of It’ was actually a song. I got to go back into the studio and record after we were done with the album. I’ve never had an opportunity to do that. When I was done, you know, we were done. This time, I just happened to hear this song and I didn’t even know if I can do that. I had asked my team. I was like, I have to have the song, what am I going to do? I went back and recorded it, and now here it is, the album title” Swindell said.

The new album, set to release in August of this year, will span many emotions. The full spectrum is something that was important to Swindell.

“I think there are more songs on this album, like ‘Break Up In The End,’ that are going to tug at people’s heartstrings because that’s where I’m at in my career, but I still have the fun stuff that got me here. You can’t ever completely abandon that because that’s what got me here,” Swindell said.

“Break Up In The End” has already been released and you can watch the official video for it below!

“Break Up In The End” Lyrics

I still walk in that bar a little drunk
I still ask you what you’re drinking, what’s your name
I still kiss you by the shuffleboard, last call at 2AM
Even though we break up in the end
I’ll introduce you to my mom and dad
Say “I think I love her” when you leave that room
I’d still not take their advice when I say you’re moving in
Even though we break up in the end
Even if I knew you’d be the one that got away
I’d still go back and get you
Even if I knew you’d be my best and worst mistake
Oh, I’d still make it with you
Over and over, again and again
Even though we break up in the end
I’d still play my favorite song in your car
Let you love me to it, ’til it felt like ours
Now all I hear is you in it, but I’d still let you ruin it
Even though we break up in the end
Even if I knew you’d be the one that got away
I’d still go back and get you
Even if I knew you’d be my best and worst mistake
Girl, I’d still make it with you
Over and over, again and again
Even though we break up in the end
You’ve just had one too many tonight
You’re just calling ’cause you’re lonely, that’s okay
But you know if you come over, I can’t not let you in
Even though we’ll break up in the end
I’d do it over and over, again and again
Even though we break up in the end
