Emerging artist Christian Lopez’s “Don’t Wanna Say Goodnight” music video is the perfect mix of vintage flair and modern edge. The song is from Lopez’s sophomore album, Red Arrow, which will be released on September 22nd via Blaster Records. Enjoy the snazzy visual story below!
Hailing from Martinsburg, West Virginia, Lopez isn’t your average small town singer-songwriter. His song “Will I See You Again” has snagged over a million views on Spotify. Rolling Stone named him “Best Newcomer” at the Americana Music Festival and Conference in 2015 and most recently, as “10 New Country Artists You Need To Know” in July 2017.
For his upcoming release Red Arrow, Lopez explored new paths with acclaimed producer Marshall Altman (Matt Nathanson, Marc Broussard, Frankie Ballard, Eric Paslay).
The record features guest appearances from Vince Gill and Kenneth Pattengale of The Milk Carton Kids, who lends his voice for the pristine harmonies on “Caramel.”
And while his lyrics are more mature and his sound is more refined than ever, Red Arrow still radiates with the youthful enthusiasm you would expect from an artist who just celebrated his 22nd birthday.
Red Arrow joins Lopez’s discography as his second studio album. His first EP, Pilot was released in 2014 and his first full-length, Onward, just a short year later. It was that album, made with the help of Grammy award-winning producer Dave Cobb (Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson), that Lopez won over fans with his uniquely-crafted sound and unmatched vocal clarity. However, for his most recent endeavor, Red Arrow, will not only get stuck in your head, it’ll capture your heart — which is perhaps Christian Lopez’s greatest feat yet.
