Country music phenom Chris Stapleton and actor Chris Pratt treated the Jimmy Kimmel Live! viewers to a special musical collaboration. Guest host Pratt had Guillermo spin “The Wheel of Cheesy Duets” and it landed on very interesting song selection— “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” from the classic film Dirty Dancing.

Oh man, that was incredibly entertaining. The 1987 tune was orignally recorded by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes, and used as the theme song for the film Dirty Dancing, which stared actors actors Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey. The romantic tune won an Academy Award for “Best Original Song”, a Golden Globe Award for “Best Original Song”, and a Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.
This humorous skit isn’t the first time the celebrities have sang together, a few months back Chris Pratt joined Chris Stapleton onstage at the Kentucky native’s Nashville concert for a rendition of “Tennessee Whiskey.” In May, Stapleton sent Pratt a tape of his album From A Room: Volume 1, along with a Walkman to listen to the album. This gift might sound rather meaningless, but it’s actually quite unique. In the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, Chris Pratt’s character enjoys using a Walkman to listen to a special mixtape made by his deceased mother.

Besides Chris Stapleton, Pratt enjoys listening to other country artists such as Eric Church and Tim McGraw. In fact, the actor claims that Church’s music encouraged him to get into character while filming the latest installment of the Jurassic Park franchise, Jurassic World.
