Despite Chris Stapleton and wife Morgane Stapleton’s growing fame, little is known about their four children— even their names are kept under wraps. That layer of privacy between their personal and public lives is extremely important to the country music artists.
As fans know, the couple added twin baby boys to their family in April. The pair also have an older son and daughter together.
“They’re doing far better than I would have expected with the loss of attention they’ve received in the past two months,” Stapleton shared with The Boot and other outlets behind the scenes at the 2018 CMA Music Festival in regards to their oldest kids.
Although Chris offers up comments about his children here and there, don’t expect many details about their private lives to be shared. The pair occasionally chooses to share snapshots of their little ones in action. As can be expected, the youngsters’ faces are not fully shown.
“I signed up for this,” Stapleton pointed out. “My children did not. I am a very private person, and in that respect, I keep my children out of it. They’re children, and they deserve the chance to be children.”
We can totally respect Chris and Morgane’s decision to keep their offspring largely out of the public eye. While many country stars such as Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Hillary Scott, and Thomas Rhett often provide family updates plus photos via social media— that openness is outside of the Stapleton’s comfort zone.
“My wife comes out [in the public eye], and she’s an adult, so she can choose to do that,” Stapleton added about Morgane. “My children did not make that choice, and [talking about them in detail in public] is, for me, kind of off limits.”
While Chris prefers to shield his family, he has no problems with meeting and greeting his loyal fans in person. Be sure to catch Chris out on the road this year!
