Chase Rice is hitting the road and schooling us all on how to have a good time.

Chase Rice‘s first gigs were playing dive bars and college towns he could drive to from his home state of North Carolina. Due to his loyal fans’ enthusiasm, he has steadily expanded his musical reach and is on his way to becoming a country music bigwig.

Three national headlining tours, an opening spot on Kenny Chesney‘s record-breaking 2015 tour, and one chart-topping country album later, Rice is poised to drop his sophomore album and return to his roots to play his new music for today’s crop of college kids. The Chase Rice Back to College Tour officially launches in early April.

Before returning to his alma mater, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the artist wanted bring some new tunes to his solid set. “We wanted to take our time with this new album and I want to put the good, the bad and all the grit in between into these songs,” he shares. “The fans in a lot of these cities have been there for me since day one, so I’m looking forward to playing them some new music live and bringing them along on the next step of our journey.”

The singer-songwriter is nominated for ACM ‘New Male Vocalist of the Year‘ and just released the first single from his forthcoming album, “Whisper.” The single will ship to country radio on Monday, February 29th.
