Country music artist Carrie Underwood is still all about healthy living, but her weekly workout routine is looking a lot different these days!

Country music superstar Carrie Underwood is in a league of her own when it comes to physical fitness! In a recent interview with E!, the star revealed that she’s backing off of her rigorous workout schedule a bit.

“I used to work out six days a week,” she shared with the outlet. “But now that’s a little rare, sometimes it’s one or two times a week and that just kind of has to be ok. And it is ok because whatever I’m doing that’s keeping me out of the gym is important.”

Carrie Underwood is focusing more on quality over quantity when it comes to her exercise schedule. What’s the root of her major change? Getting more time back to focus on her 2-year-old son Isaiah while also juggling the demands of her red-hot country music career.

The star revealed that her young son often shows up to join her for a workout at home.

“He probably will, 90% of the time, wander into my workout session,” the singer confessed. “But it’s nice to be able to stop and give him a kiss.”

According to Carrie, family time is her number one priority— so she doesn’t get too concerned over missing a sweat session. Date nights with husband Mike Fisher and family dinners are way more important to the songbird.

Carrie’s heart is certainly in the right place. The vocal powerhouse launched her very own activewear line Calia by Carrie Underwood in 2014. The line’s fall collection is due out soon, so keep an eye out!

It will be interesting to see what’s next for the Underwood-Fisher family. With Mike now retired from playing professional hockey and Carrie taking some time off the road to focus on songwriting—- the possibilities are endless!

We do know, however, that Carrie has penned a brand new song called “The Champion” for the 2018 Super Bowl, but we’ll have to wait until February to hear it.

“My husband loved it,” Carrie shared in a statement about the upcoming Super Bowl anthem. “He would listen to it before playoff games. He was like ‘I want everyone to hear it!’ and I had to tell him, ‘You can’t do that. You can’t play it in the locker room. I’m sorry.’ But that was a good indicator that we were on the right track.”

On November 8th, the popular singer-songwriter will return to co-host the 2017 CMA Awards alongside Brad Paisley.
