Country music singer-songwriter Carrie Underwood and her family are living it up in wine country this week! Check out the pictures here.
Country music superstar Carrie Underwood and her family are currently enjoying the gorgeous scenery and scrumptious offerings of California’s Napa Valley! While the trip hasn’t been all play, Carrie is the Live in the Vineyard Goes Country festival headliner, she has carved out time for some wine country fun.
“Napa Valley, you are my happy place! Amazing wine, beautiful scenery, wonderful friends, new places and a yummy dinner created by @chefchiarello and his apprentice, Isaiah Fisher! And that was just the first day here! Life is good…❤️❤️❤️ #napavalley #winetime #happy#IMarriedUp (And, thanks, @hunterpremo for letting me borrow your jacket!),” Underwood captioned her collection of photos on Instagram.
Yes, you read that right— 3-year-old Isaiah got to flex some culinary muscle alongside a professional chef. Scroll to the fifth picture for that cuteness!
It’s wonderful to see Carrie out and about once again. Mike Fisher announced his retirement from the NHL last weekend and is currently recovering from a knee injury he sustained early last week.
While Mike transitions away from his career, Carrie is busy ramping hers back up. The artist’s new album, Cry Pretty, is due out on September 14th. The highly-anticipated project is her first studio album through her new record label, Capitol Records Nashville. Currently, CMA Fest and WE Fest are the only dates on the star’s upcoming 2018 live performance schedule. Carrie has also hinted that a tour announcement will be coming down the road, but no details have been released yet.
On Sunday night, the country music hit-maker appeared on American Idol to perform and act as a mentor to the remaining contestants. Watch her powerful live performance of her current single, “Cry Pretty.” below!
“Cry Pretty” Lyrics
I’m sorry, but I’m just a girl
Not usually the kind to show my heart to the world
I’m pretty good at keeping it together
I hold my composure, for worse or for better
So I apologize if you don’t like what you see
But sometimes my emotions get the best of me
And falling apart is as human as it gets
You can’t hide it, you can’t fight what the truth is
You can pretty lie and say it’s okay
You can pretty smile and just walk away
Pretty much fake your way through anything
But you can’t cry pretty
Oh no, you can’t dress it up in lace or rhinestones
It don’t matter if you’re in a crowd or home all alone
Yeah, it’s all the same when you’re looking in the mirror
A picture of pain, so let it flow like a river
You can pretty lie and say it’s okay
You can pretty smile and just walk away
Pretty much fake your way through anything
But you can’t cry pretty
You can’t turn off the flood when the dam breaks
When all your mascara is going to waste
When things get ugly, you just gotta face
That you can’t cry pretty
Oh no, you can’t
Ooh, yeah
You can’t turn off the flood when the dam breaks
When all your mascara is going to waste
When things get ugly, you just gotta face
That you can’t cry pretty
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
No, you can’t cry
No, you can’t cry
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, woo
You can’t cry
You can’t cry pretty, baby
Oh yeah, woo, woo
No, you can’t cry pretty, yeah
