Country music singer-songwriter Carrie Underwood is making the most out of her downtime! While recovering from surgery to repair a broken wrist, the superstar decided to start a brand new holiday tradition with her 2-year-old son Isaiah— baking and decorating Christmas-themed cookies!
“Made Christmas cookies with the little man today. I actually don’t think I’ve ever made Christmas cookies before but this will definitely be a new tradition in the Fisher household! Newsflash: Isaiah likes frosting (shocker)!” Underwood shared via the Instagram post below.
While Carrie has turned to dishing out sweet treats, her husband Mike Fisher has made a discovery…

Maybe Mike and Carrie’s recent efforts can be combined— a fish fry with cookies as dessert?
It’s nice to see evidence of Carrie enjoying herself while healing up. In November, the 34-year-old star broke her wrist after taking a hard fall on the stairs outside of her Tennessee home.
“I just wanted let everyone know that I’m doing great,” Underwood shared via Twitter after the accident. “Had surgery on my wrist yesterday & all went well…even though I’ll be setting off airport metal detectors from now on…I’m so thankful for the doctors, nurses, family & friends who’ve been taking such great care of me.”
After Carrie’s tumble, her husband rushed back to Nashville overnight to be by her side. With Mike and little Isaiah on the scene, we’re sure Carrie is being taken care of very well and is enjoying their company.
“Thank you all for the tremendous love and support for Carrie over the last few days. I’m reminded that there are so many good people in this world. I’m reminded that through our pain, fears and tough times God is with us and He’s painting a beautiful story thought it all (Romans 8:28). Sometimes it’s hard to understand why things happen but we thank him and Praise His name in the midst of it all! Thanks Again!” Mike shared with fans on Instagram after Carrie’s successful surgery.
