Carrie Underwood, pregnant and now close to delivering her second baby, is by far the most famous mom in country music and while she enjoys her career, she seems to give equal preference to all of her roles: mom, boss, and musician.
“There’s a lot happening, but that is what we take on as women, and I cherish every role I get to be in—the country music singer, you know, the boss, the whatever, the mom,” said Underwood.
“Those are all good things, and I feel like moms everywhere just know. They juggle. I juggle. We’re all doing the same things, just in different ways. Um, we’ve all got jobs to do, and we’ve got babies to take care of and it all happens at once, and you figure it out.”
The 35-year old and her family have gotten all settled in their new home in Leiper’s Fork, a suburb of Nashville, and reportedly have the hospital route all planned out. On Instagram, Underwood joked that she is officially dressing in her husband’s Mike Fisher’s clothes because of her pregnant belly.
The second time around has Underwood being more private about the details of her due date and baby name. Even the gender might have been kept a secret if it wasn’t for Brad Paisley weaseling it out of her on-stage at the CMA Awards on Nov. 14th of last year.
Paisley jokingly pestered Underwood “Seriously, Carrie, gimme a little baby hint, Johnny or June? Keith or Nicole? Garth or Trisha? Waylon or Willie?”
“Willie! It’s a Willie!” Underwood finally exclaimed.
Underwood and her husband Mike Fisher suffered through multiple miscarriages as they were trying to give their son a sibling and that could be a reason why Underwood is keeping this pregnancy so close to her.
“It took us a while to get here … I’m gonna cry again,” Underwood said.
“[I’m] just so thankful … to find out Isaiah’s gonna have a baby brother. It was just great news. We’re excited.”
Until the big day, which is reportedly this month [January 2019], Underwood and her family will enjoy life as a family of three.
