Country music hit-maker Carrie Underwood and retired NHL hockey star Mike Fisher‘s 3-year-old son Isaiah lives a pretty charmed life. So what hot, new toy has caught his attention and earned his devotion?
A voice-activated robot? No. A new bike with training wheels? No. An unassuming potato grown in the rich fields of Idaho? Yes!
“This is what my kid has been playing with for the past 2 days. Yes, it’s a potato. Yes, he has other real toys. Yes, I know it’s weird,” Carrie captioned the snapshot of Isaiah’s new spud— errr, bud— chilling out in a small inflatable donut.
Kids are so random and hilarious! Even better, somebody in the family added a eyes and a big smile to Isaiah’s new buddy with a marker.
It will be interesting to see how long the little dude’s interest remains with his starchy new pal. Hopefully he keeps the potato far away from butter, sour cream, cheese, and microwaves…
By the way, Carrie is set to kick off Spotify’s Hot Country Live series which will take place in New York City on July 4th. Country music duo Dan + Shay are also slated to play the event. The star’s highly-anticipated new album, Cry Pretty, is due out on September 14th. The project is her first studio album through her new record label, Capitol Records Nashville. Carrie has also hinted that a tour announcement will be coming down the road, but no details have been released yet.
As we wait for more Underwood-Fisher family updates, enjoy Carrie’s live performance of “Fry Pretty”… sorry, “Cry Pretty”, at the 2018 CMT Music Awards below!
“Cry Pretty” Lyrics
I’m sorry, but I’m just a girl
Not usually the kind to show my heart to the world
I’m pretty good at keeping it together
I hold my composure, for worse or for better
So I apologize if you don’t like what you see
But sometimes my emotions get the best of me
And falling apart is as human as it gets
You can’t hide it, you can’t fight what the truth is
You can pretty lie and say it’s okay
You can pretty smile and just walk away
Pretty much fake your way through anything
But you can’t cry pretty
Oh no, you can’t dress it up in lace or rhinestones
It don’t matter if you’re in a crowd or home all alone
Yeah, it’s all the same when you’re looking in the mirror
A picture of pain, so let it flow like a river
You can pretty lie and say it’s okay
You can pretty smile and just walk away
Pretty much fake your way through anything
But you can’t cry pretty
You can’t turn off the flood when the dam breaks
When all your mascara is going to waste
When things get ugly, you just gotta face
That you can’t cry pretty
Oh no, you can’t
Ooh, yeah
You can’t turn off the flood when the dam breaks
When all your mascara is going to waste
When things get ugly, you just gotta face
That you can’t cry pretty
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
No, you can’t cry
No, you can’t cry
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, woo
You can’t cry
You can’t cry pretty, baby
Oh yeah, woo, woo
No, you can’t cry pretty, yeah
