Country music superstar Carrie Underwood got to live out a dream last night with New Kids on the Block! Check it out right here.
Wednesday night’s New Kids on the Block concert in Nashville had a very special surprise guest— Carrie Underwood! As fans well know, Carrie is a huge fan of the group but wasn’t at Bridgestone Arena just as an audience member. The country music superstar took to the stage to sing “Happy Birthday” to NKOTB’s Jordan Knight (May 17) and Danny Wood (May 14).
After her “Happy Birthday” shoutout, the guys treated Carrie to her own personal serenade, of course she couldn’t resist joining in!
Enjoy Carrie’s adorable rendition of the classic tune and watch the fun unfold below!
Besides connecting with her childhood heartthrobs, Carrie also reunited backstage with former American Idol judge Paula Abdul, who is currently touring with NKOTB and Boyz II Men. Paula literally had a front seat when the nation was first introduced to the talented Oklahoman during the fourth season of the popular singing competition. Carrie Underwood crushed her competition and won the season with approximately 500 million votes cast in the season and 37 million for the finale.
Paula wrote in the caption, “So happy to reconnect with the amazingly talented and equally beautiful @carrieunderwood tonight. So proud of your journey.”
Carrie also shared the sweet snapshot with the message, “Well, look who I ran into backstage at #TheTotalPackage Tour! So cool to watch her do her thing!”
Besides Carrie, Big & Rich also made a surprise appearance onstage and country music maven Reba McEntire was seen enjoying the show from the audience. Between Nashville Predators hockey and concerts, Bridgestone Arena has become like a second home to the award-winning songstress! She’ll be back at the venue on Thursday, May 18th when the Preds take on the Anaheim Ducks and continue their Stanley Cup playoff push.
Judging from the flood of posts and video clips coming from Underwood’s social media feed, we think the star had a blast last night!
