Wow. And that’s how it’s done folks!
It also seems that the Oklahoman is a lucky charm for the NHL franchise… the Preds topped the Jets this time around!
In the weeks leading up to this moment, Underwood teased that she had something in the works involving the Preds.
“Last year, I was so proud to be the Captain’s wife [Mike Fisher] and loved being able to contribute to the excitement of the playoffs by coming out to perform the anthem at the first game,” Underwood shared with The Tennessean earlier in April. “I had so much fun and wanted to continue to support the team by asking a few of my friends to get in on the action. Like all of the Preds fans, I’m thrilled that Mike is back on the ice and I love that we are able to bring the music and hockey worlds together this way.”
As we wait to see if the Preds advance to make another bid for the coveted Stanley Cup, we can also look forward to more new music from the country star!
Carrie is gearing up to release Cry Pretty, her first studio album through her new record label Capitol Records Nashville, on September 14th. The Oklahoman says, “At this point in my career, I feel stronger and more creative than ever. I think you can hear that in this new album. It’s emotional, it’s soulful, it’s real, and we also have some fun on there too. I hope everyone loves it as much as I have loved making it.”
At the 2018 ACM Awards, Underwood took home her 14th career ACM Award for ‘Vocal Event of the Year’ for “The Fighter,” her collaboration with Keith Urban, after scoring a standing ovation for her emotional performance of “Cry Pretty.”
