Miranda Lambert won ‘Best Country Album’ for Platinum and Carrie Underwood won ‘Best Solo Country Performance’ for her song ”Something In The Water.”
During the live broadcast, Miranda Lambert absolutely rocked the stage while performing her latest single, “Little Red Wagon.” Definitely the sassiest performance of the night!
Later, Miranda proudly collected her award and stated, “I love every album in this category. I’m so thankful for this, I poured my heart and soul into this record. Frank Liddell, Chuck Ainlay and Glenn Worf are amazing producers. All the musicians that played on this and all the writers and all the people that make it happen and get it to the people — get it to the fans — thank you so much for this amazing night. I love you all.”
Lambert previously won a Grammy for ‘Best Female Country Performance’ for “The House That Built Me.”
Carrie Underwood’s trophy was presented prior to the ceremony. After getting official word, Underwood quickly tweeted, “I WON A GRAMMY! Watching the telecast now online right now & I’m so happy! Thank you to the @TheGRAMMYs and my incredible fans! So amazing!!” This marks the Oklahoma native’s seventh Grammy win.
