Country music singer Carrie Underwood has always held a special place in her heart for animals. Aside from her responsibilities of a country super star and mother to her little boy Isaiah, she also has a foundation to help both animals and people in need called The C.A.T.S. Foundation (Checotah Animal, Town, and School Foundation).
There is one animal in particular she has less love for than the others, and it is surprisingly a turtle! Underwood shared this fact on her Instagram along with a photo of little Isaiah with the offensive reptile.
“Fun fact: the only animal I do NOT like is a turtle. I’m fine with 🐍s and 🕷s and anything else that most people find scary, but 🐢s are NOT OK. (That said I’ll still pull my car over to help one cross the road…even though I don’t like it). I’m glad my son doesn’t share my feelings…” Underwood said.
It certainly does look like her little boy might be a bit of a turtle lover from the photo, sadly she will probably never let him get one of his own. Surely she will make up for it in some other way :)
Underwood also had a big announcement today, she will join Luke Bryan, Garth Brooks, and many more as performers at the 51st Annual CMA awards!
Even bigger news is she will be teaming up with her old friend Brad Paisley to host the awards once again, marking their 10th year together serving as emcees.
Aside from the CMA buzz, Underwood also got to participate in Reba McEntire’s 40th Grand Ole Opry anniversary which was last month. The event honored McEntire’s first performance on their stage.
“How is this my life? I got to be part of this crew celebrating @reba ‘s 40th anniversary of her first @opry appearance! Three legends…and me!!! So many dreams came true tonight!” Underwood posted on Instagram.

Lyrics for “Dirty Laundry” by Carrie Underwood:
That lipstick on your collar, well, it ain’t my shade of pink
And I can tell by the smell of that perfume, it’s like forty dollars too cheap
And there’s a little wine stain on the pocket of your white cotton thread
Well, you drink beer and whiskey, boy, and you know I don’t drink red
Found it over in the corner
Wadded up on the bedroom floor
You shoulda hid it in the closet
You shoulda burned it, you shoulda lost it
Now I’ma have to hang you out to dry, dry, dry
Clothespin all your secrets to the line, line, line
Leave ’em blowing in the wind, just say goodbye to you
All those midnights sneaking in
I’m late again, oh, I’m so sorry
All the Ajax in the world ain’t gonna clean your dirty laundry
If the neighbors get to asking, I won’t cover nothin’ up
I’ll tell ’em every little detail, how you drug me through the mud
I’m gonna string up your old button-down and slide it on the porch
Just in case you get the nerve to come knockin’ on my door
Yeah, I’ma have to hang you out to dry, dry, dry
Clothespin all your secrets to the line, line, line
Leave ’em blowing in the wind, just say goodbye to you
All those midnights sneaking in
I’m late again, oh, I’m so sorry
All the Ajax in the world ain’t gonna clean your dirty laundry
Oh oh oh oh-oh, oh, oh, oh, oh-oh
Found it over in the corner
Wadded up on the bedroom floor
You shoulda hid it in the closet
You shoulda burned it, you shoulda lost it
Now I’ma have to hang you out to dry, dry, dry
Clothespin all your secrets to the line, line, line
Leave ’em blowing in the wind, just say goodbye to you
All those midnights sneaking in
I’m late again, oh, I’m so sorry
All the Ajax in the world ain’t gonna clean your dirty laundry
Out to dry
To the line
