The Nashville Predators may need to incorporate some new moves into their victory celebrations. Country music songbird Carrie Underwood snapped a sweet picture of her NHL captain husband Mike Fisher busting a move with 2-year-old Isaiah to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse’s infectious “Hot Dog Dance” song.
The Instagram caption reads, “Dear ladies, Make sure you marry someone who makes time to do the ‘hot dog dance’ with your kid right before leaving for work! So sweet!”
Besides the adorableness of Mike and Isaiah’s father-son bonding moment, we love how normal the snapshot is— a little blurry and totally not staged. Looking around their living room you can spot a ton of toddler toys, a dog crate, and even little pup Ace enjoying the impromptu dance party. Stuff like this reminds you that despite the couple’s superstar status and millions of dollars, they are indeed real people. Carrie is 100 percent correct in her wise observation, that’s a real man right there.
The Nashville Preds have advanced to their first-ever Stanley Cup final in franchise history after beating out Anaheim Ducks 6-3 in Game 6 of the NHL’s Western Conference Final. The team will face either the Pittsburgh Penguins or the Ottawa Senators for the ultimate prize, that series has forced a Game 7 to take place. It would be crazy though if the Preds ultimately battled it out with the Senators, Mike’s former team.
The highly-anticipated battle for the Stanley Cup will kick off on Monday, May 29th. Nashville’s first home game is slated for June 3rd and Smashville will also host a game on June 5th. If the series goes on longer, Bridgestone Arena may also see home ice action on June 11th.
Best wishes to Mike and his team as they go ‘next-level.’ Maybe he can incorporate the moves he’s learned from his young son into his pre-game warmup?
In case you are unfamiliar with the catchy “Hot Dog Dance” tune, here it is… (Warning: Listening to this will probably result in the song being stuck in your head for days.)
Be sure to share this cute moment with other fans of the Fisher family!
