Carrie’s success is due to unwavering commitment and dedication each day and all 52 weeks of the year. Yes, Carrie has a personal trainer and mobile gym (while on tour) to keep her on track, but you can adopt some of her habits and integrate them into your own workout flow at no cost to you. Below is a selection of tips and ideas that you can nab for your own use.

Her personal trainer Erin Oprea has helped the country superstar stay fit, despite her busy schedule.  During quarantine, Carrie has been working out with her hubby Mike Fisher and she appears to be in the best shape of her life.  Opera says that Underwood is capable of tackling very intense workouts with heavy weights. She aims for variability in the star’s routines, so she gets the most out of her gym time.

“Carrie’s workouts change quite a bit, sometimes she goes heavier. But not always, some days we do no weights, and we do plyometric-based stuff like jumping and tabatas,” Oprea stated in a prior interview.  “It’s really fun to see her change over the years — I’ve known Carrie for nine years now. She’s a rockstar, and really, it takes hard works and discipline to reach your goals. Put those two together and you’ll hit it!”

On days when Underwood can’t make it to the gym, she tries to be as active as possible. Having two sons that are full of energy makes one form of daily workout.  Carrie’s 2nd son (Jacob Fisher) was born January 21, 2019.   As the mother of two boys, Carrie stays in remarkable shape.

Carrie shared this message after having her second baby boy (Jacob):

“I’m going to be honest, “bouncing back” after having Jacob has been much more difficult than after I had Isaiah and I’ve been pretty hard on myself lately. I go into the gym and I can’t run as fast or as far. I can’t lift as much weight or do as many reps as I could a year ago. I just want to feel like myself again…for my body to feel the way that I know it can. As I was working out today, I realized that for the past 11(ish) months, my body has not belonged to me. It was a perfect home for Jacob. And even now it belongs to him every time he drinks his milk. As I prepare for red carpets and for life on tour, right now I make a promise to myself to start appreciating what my body CAN do and stop focusing on what it can’t. I promise to stop analyzing every angle and every curve and every pound and every meal. I’m going to keep staying the path because it is a journey and as long as I’m always working towards my goals, one day I’ll reach them. I’m going to take it day by day, smile at the girl in the mirror, and work out because I love this body and all it has done and will continue to do!”

Carrie Underwood Fitness:  Diet and Eating Habit Tips

Trainer Tony Greco, who has worked with both Underwood and her husband Mike Fisher in the past, revealed some smart diet tips with Shape magazine. He revealed that Carrie maintains a balanced diet of protein, carbs, and fats. She also avoids eating out, even while on tour.

“Have a protein the size of the palm of your hand, 2 cups of green veggies, and a handful of almonds, macadamia nuts, or walnuts with every meal,” Greco advises others.  We know that the songbird is 100% dedicated to healthy eating, but Greco insists that a little “cheating” is allowed once in awhile.  “Just have it before noon so it gives your body enough time to burn the extra calories,” Greco explains.

It is also important to note that Underwood has gone mostly vegan after being a vegetarian for several years. She’s also kept food journals for years in order to track her nutrition. Her level of dedication is pretty impressive and the results speak for themselves.  Carrie is considered a vegetarian diet as she does eat some dairy products and eats eggs from her very own farm raised chickens.

Calia by Carrie is the clothing line Carrie is behind and it is designed to be versatile for women on the go. One of the highlights include being able to wear it to the gym then to meet up with friends afterwards.  Underwood’s fitness apparel line targets all women, from runners to yogis to everything in between. “I created Calia to make it easier for me and all other women to work in working out,” says Carrie.
