Country music superstar Carrie Underwood‘s physically fitness is downright impressive. Surprisingly enough, some of the Oklahoman’s favorite workouts are very straightforward and actually achievable.
“I do a lot of squats and lunges,” Underwood disclosed to POPSUGAR during her recent CALIA by Carrie Underwood Mother’s Day event in New York City. “In my neighborhood, it’s pretty hilly. So if I’m going to go for a jog, I’ll lunge up the hills so I’m not just running. But sometimes I’m like, ‘I’m going to do a bazillion lunges just because.'”
The star can even be spotted exercising while taking her 3-year-old son, Isaiah, to the local park. Talk about using your time wisely and being resourceful!
“Workouts can kind of happen anywhere,” she shared. “We have a little park in our area we live in, and it’s not anything super fancy, but it has monkey bars, and it has a step-up, and there’s a bench there. You’d be amazed at the things you can come up with.”
While juggling a red hot country music career, an athletic clothing line, and parenthood can make concentrating on fitness difficult, her husband Mike Fisher supports Carrie’s efforts.
“I’m super lucky because I have an incredible husband,” the star added. “He’s a great father. I can be like, ‘Hey. I’m going to go for a run. You guys good?’ And he’s like, ‘Yeah, everything’s fine.'”
Carrie is living proof that determination, creativity, and spousal support can go a long way! Check out these photos from the special event below. Carrie’s adorable mother, Carole, was also on the scene supporting her famous daughter.

“Cry Pretty” Lyrics
I’m sorry, but I’m just a girl
Not usually the kind to show my heart to the world
I’m pretty good at keeping it together
I hold my composure, for worse or for better
So I apologize if you don’t like what you see
But sometimes my emotions get the best of me
And falling apart is as human as it gets
You can’t hide it, you can’t fight what the truth is
You can pretty lie and say it’s okay
You can pretty smile and just walk away
Pretty much fake your way through anything
But you can’t cry pretty
Oh no, you can’t dress it up in lace or rhinestones
It don’t matter if you’re in a crowd or home all alone
Yeah, it’s all the same when you’re looking in the mirror
A picture of pain, so let it flow like a river
You can pretty lie and say it’s okay
You can pretty smile and just walk away
Pretty much fake your way through anything
But you can’t cry pretty
You can’t turn off the flood when the dam breaks
When all your mascara is going to waste
When things get ugly, you just gotta face
That you can’t cry pretty
Oh no, you can’t
Ooh, yeah
You can’t turn off the flood when the dam breaks
When all your mascara is going to waste
When things get ugly, you just gotta face
That you can’t cry pretty
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
No, you can’t cry
No, you can’t cry
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, woo
You can’t cry
You can’t cry pretty, baby
Oh yeah, woo, woo
No, you can’t cry pretty, yeah
