Country music phenom Carrie Underwood‘s CMA Awards co-hosting duties will also include big plans in terms of fashion— we can expect 11 costume changes that reflect all five decades of the annual event’s existence.
“There are some looks throughout our night that are very singular artist inspired and it should be evident,” Underwood disclosed to PeopleStyle. “But going back, there are just so many incredible, legendary ladies of country music. I didn’t wanna really completely pigeonhole myself to one artist. It’s about paying tribute as well.”
Besides representing the ’60s, ’70s, ’80s, ’90s and ’00s with iconic style elements, fans can also expect to be dazzled by five additional looks, including her red carpet look, performance costume, and afterparty ensemble.
Stylist and four-time Emmy Award-winning costume designer, Marina Toybina, is responsible for crafting the songbird’s array of show-stopping signature looks.
