Country music songstress Cam plans to release her second studio album in 2018. Recently, she dropped the record's first single, "Diane." Check out the brand new song here!

Cam Ochs grew up listening to country music legends such as Patsy Cline and Willie Nelson. Now it’s her turn to make a name for herself. Technically Cam has already released two albums, but only one was produced by a recordlabel. Her 2015 album, Untamed, consisted of 12 songs and eventually hit number two on the Top Country Albums chart. Within the next couple months, the California native is expected to drop her sophomore album!

The California native recently dropped the album’s lead single, “Diane.” When asked about the song, the 32-year-old shared, “‘Diane’ is my response to Dolly Parton’s ‘Jolene.’ It’s the apology so many spouses deserve, but never get. The other woman is coming forward to break the news to the wife about an affair, respecting her enough to have that hard conversation, once she realized hew was married. Because everyone should be able to decide their own path in life, based on the truth. Women especially should do this for each other, since our self-worth can still be so wrapped up in our partners. And in true country fashion, I’ve set the whole raw story to upbeat music, so you can dance while you process it all.”

SHE’S HERE!!!!! I’m so pleased to introduce you to my new song #Diane (link in bio)

Since Cam has opened for several shows throughout Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s Soul2Soul Tour, it feels like her next album might be the one to take her to the next level in country music. We can’t wait to hear her new album!

Listen to “Diane” below…

“Diane” Lyrics

Oh, I promise I didn’t know he was your man
I would have noticed a gold wedding band
Diane
I’d rather you hate me than not understand
Oh, Diane

You pick the time and the place
Don’t know how much this hurts
I gave him my heart to break
Now I know he broke yours first
Lyin’ right there in my bed
While he was lying to you
Believing the words that he said
How could we bu such fools?

And all those nights that he’s give to me
I wish that I could give them back to you

Diane
I promise I didn’t know he was your man
I would have noticed a gold wedding band
Diane
I’d rather you hate me than not understand
Oh, Diane

You can blame me if it helps
That’s what a good wife would do
But you’re only cheating yourself
Choosing him over the truth

And all those nights that he’s give to me
I wish that I could give them back to you

Diane
I promise I didn’t know he was your man
I would have noticed a gold wedding band
Diane
I’d rather you hate me than not understand
Oh, Diane

Oh, woah
Diane, Diane
Oh, woah
Diane
Oh, I’d rather you hate me than not understand
Oh, Diane

And all those nights that he’s given to me
I wish that I could give them back to you

Be sure to share Cam’s new tune with other country music fans!
