Brian Kelley & Wife Step Up To Help Hurricane Michael Relief

Florida Georgia Line star Brian Kelley and wife Brittney are doing their part to help Florida recover from the devastation caused by Hurricane Michael!

Florida Georgia Line star and Florida native Brian Kelley is giving back to his home state after Hurricane Michael caused massive devastation to the Panhandle region. According to CNN, the Category 4 storm is the third most intense Atlantic hurricane in U.S. history and the most violent to hit this part of the state directly.

The country star recently shared a video on Instagram of himself standing among the rubble left behind from the natural disaster, which struck on October 10th. The Florida Georgia Line singer described his visit as “humbling” while he got to be a part of a large community push to rebuild.

Brian and his wife Brittney have started their own GoFundMe relief effort— Tribe Kelley Hurricane Relief. The official fundraising page states the following: “By donating, you can be confident 100% of proceeds will go back into the communities devastated by Hurricane Michael. We are working directly with the county officials, communities, citizens, non-profit charity organizations to assure we are helping the people most in need in areas of devastation from Hurricane Michael. We are working closely with Alaqua Refuge in helping provide homes for displaced citizens and animals.”

Funds will be used to provide meals, help rebuild homes, aid local businesses, restore childcare centers, and buy/distribute needed supplies.

Brittney turned to Instagram to share a video of some of the damage, “Our hearts are heavy this week. I’ve grown up coming down to the panhandle and what I’ve seen is truly devastating and heart wrenching.”

The couple have also donated $5,000 to the Sonder Project, which focuses on “highly organized daily operation to send volunteers and supplies street by street, neighborhood by neighborhood, with direction and support from local & emergency management officials.”

“It’s gonna be a long process, so it starts with us. It starts with the team, and y’all do your part,” the country artist says of the rebuilding process.

Share this touching update with fellow country music fans to help raise awareness and hopefully donations!
