Country music entertainer Brett Young's father won't be officiating his wedding, but will have a very important duty. More here!
Country music star Brett Young‘s preacher father won’t be officiating during his son’s upcoming November wedding— but he will get to play a very special role.
“He didn’t want to [officiate]. He wants to be able to be a dad,” Young shared through his record label, Big Machine Records, “He is going to get up at the very end for the official part. He will be the actual, official ordained minister that pronounces us man and wife.”
That’s right, he will get to opportunity to confirm Brett and Taylor Mills‘ union himself.
“He will sign our thing, but for the majority of the ceremony, a very close friend is going to learn my dad’s ceremony. And he’s going to do the first 80 percent of it but deliver my dad’s words, personalized, of course, a little bit, but then my dad will get up and pronounce us man and wife,” Young explains.
Besides handling the standard groom duties, Young is also writing an original song to perform on his wedding day. Hopefully he takes that one to the studio for all of his fans to enjoy…
We look forward to Brett and Taylor tying the knot— they are adorable together! The artist’s highly-anticipated sophomore album Ticket to L.A. is set to be released on December 7th. Listen to the first single here.
