Emerging country music hit-maker Brett Young's "Like I Loved You" has hit number one after climbing the charts for 23 weeks!

Like I Loved You by Brett Young has officially become a Hit.  After spending 23 weeks on the charts, Brett Young‘s single “Like I Loved You” has finally peaked at No. 1! This is Brett’s second No. 1 single— his first being the notable “In Case You Didn’t Know.”

Having two No. 1 hit singles in 2017 certainly took this rising star ‘next-level.’ His debut single “Sleep Without You” peaked at No. 2, not quite reaching that coveted mark. All three of these tracks are featured in his his first studio album— talk about starting off strong!

Brett’s 2017 was even sweeter as he had the opportunity to spend time on Lady Antebellum‘s You Look Good World Tour. It was here that Brett got to work with Charles Kelley on some new tracks for his upcoming album!

“Charles is a great writer. Charles does it all really well. He definitely fell more into the melody when we were writing with these specific writers, and his melodies are so cool,” Brett revealed about writing with Charles. “You look at those Lady Antebellum records, there’s a very identifiable sound, and I think a lot of those melody decisions are Charles, because it came out in our writes. One thing he brought specifically to the song it looks like I’m gonna cut for my record was a really cool melodic twist.”

No specific date has been set, but Brett has high hopes for his second album dropping sometime by the end of 2018.

Like I Loved You by Brett Young Lyrics

Would’ve thought you wrote down every word
Goodbye spelled out like it had been rehearsed
There ain’t no point in trying to change your mind
Seems like
You’ve got it all figured out
You’re alright
With the way this is going down
Don’t tell me we can still be friends
Hanging on the weekend
You’re gonna be okay if I start seeing somebody new
You hope that I do
It won’t be long
Till I forget to call every time that I’m drinking
And you ain’t the love song
I can’t keep from singing
I gotta be honest
You really believe that’s the truth
You never loved me like I loved you
By the way you’re talking you would think
You never had any real feelings for me
And if you think I can look across the bar
And see you
In someone else’s arms
And I need you
Oh who do you think you are
Trying to tell me we can still be friends
Hanging on the weekend
You’re gonna be okay if I start seeing somebody new
You hope that I do
It won’t be long
Till I forget to call every time that I’m drinking
And you ain’t the love song
I can’t keep from singing
I gotta be honest
You really believe that’s the truth
You never loved me like I loved you
You always told me
You’d never leave me
You said I was your one and only
So what makes you think I wanna hear you say
We can still be friends
No I don’t wanna be friends
Stop telling me, stop telling me, woah
That we can still be friends
Hanging on the weekend
You’re gonna be okay if I start seeing somebody new
You hope that I do
It won’t be long
Till I forget to call every time that I’m drinking
And you ain’t the love song
I can’t keep from singing
I gotta be honest
You really believe that’s the truth
You never loved me like I loved you
You never loved me like I loved you
You never loved me like I loved you
