Brett Eldredge released two music video versions for his song Castaway. In an interview, Eldredge stated, “‘Castaway is definitely a standout. It’s much deeper than any song I’ve ever written. It’s very honest and really puts me out there, but I’ve learned with this record that that’s what I’m ready to do now even more than ever.”

Castaway Lyrics
I tried to fly but I ran out of sky
And I fell straight down into the ocean
Then I rode a wave back to shore
And I stayed for awhile
Till I got tired of being lonely
Why do I always try
To run away from you
Please don’t say a castaway
Is what I was born to do
I guess I’ll always be lost without you
If I got smart, I’d trade my wings for your heart
And I’d promise to never chase the wind
I look up at the moon, but all I see is you
And I’m reminded I need your love again
Why do I always try
To run away from you
Please don’t say a castaway
Is what I was born to do
I guess I’ll always be lost without you
I’d be naive to ever think
You’re at your door waiting for me
So why do I always try
To run away from you
Please don’t say a castaway
Is what I was born to do
I guess I’ll always be lost without you
Eldredge is launching into the biggest summer of his career hot off a year of success. His No. 1 single “Wanna Be That Song” was just certified Gold by the RIAA. Brett recently surpassed 500 million total career streams. He has earned a total of seven chart-topping hits, including his holiday duet “Baby It’s Cold Outside” with Grammy-winner Meghan Trainor, and is taking all of them and more on the road for Luke Bryan’s “Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day” tour.
“It’s kind of crazy to see an album cover with just your name on it,” Eldredge said. “I think that shows what I want to say with this album. Maybe it takes a little bit of guts to put out a self-titled album – but if it’s 100% honestly you, then that should come across through the music. That’s my name and I hope my fans love me for me. Hopefully they feel the connection of these songs and they help them through their everyday lives. Because that’s why I make this music.”
The singer-songwriter’s new record will be out Aug. 4, 2017. Fans of Brett can download some of the tracks, including “Somethin’ I’m Good At,” “Love Someone,” and “The Long Way.” The artist has several upcoming tour dates and your can see if Brett is visiting a city near you.
