“Nesting” before baby arrives is a little bit different for country music stars who spend a ton of time away from home on the road playing live shows. “The Weekend” singer Brantley Gilbert and wife Amber Cochran recently broke the news that they are expecting their first child together this November after struggling to conceive for nearly two years.
Since the couple’s little bundle of joy will be joining the country star on tour as often as possibly, Brantley is having a brand new baby-friendly tour bus built from the ground up. So far, the project has proven easier said than done. “We’re having a bus built right now and we just had one built that sucked. The bus company that built it up, just bad. So it went back. We’re having another bus built right now,” Gilbert shared with Rare Country.
Bringing the whole family along for the cross-country ride is pretty common on the country music scene, Brantley and Amber reached out to fellow country star Eric Church and his wife Katherine to get their take on making his tour bus ideal for a growing family.
“We talked to Eric [Church] and his wife about kind of the set up on their bus and stuff cause down the road we want to make sure that what we’re building right now that we can convert it to take care of that cause I told [Amber], ‘They’re gonna be with me.’”
When the Gilberts aren’t on tour, they call Jefferson, Georgia home and plan to raise their children in their small hometown. Keep your eyes peeled, the couple will announce their baby’s gender in the next few weeks.
