Country music star Brantley Gilbert and wife Amber are gearing up to welcome their baby boy this November, and while the couple is excited to have their first child, the two people who may be even more excited are Brantley’s mother and father. He recently shared with his label, Big Machine Label Group, “My mom, she’s babies period. My dad the same way. Literally if we have people over at the house and a baby walks in, you can kiss him goodbye for the rest of the night cause he’s gonna be talking to it and holding that baby all night.”

Though all babies are special, the Gilberts’ little one is an extra blessing.
“We’d been to see a fertility specialist, and two different folks that told me it would be close to a miracle if it happened without IVF,” Brantley explained to PEOPLE about their ongoing fertility struggles. “I’m not much of a quitter, but I was really, really frustrated.”
Before starting the in vitro fertilization process, they got pregnant on their own.
“She handed me a box and there were three pregnancy tests in there and all of them were positive,” Gilbert recalled of his wife sharing the good news . “I think I stared at it for at least two minutes without saying anything because I was literally in shock. We’d been told it was just not in the cards, and I’m staring at this answer to many, many, many prayers.”
We’re thrilled for Brantley and Amber and know that child will be so loved.
