Bobby Bones to Join ‘American Idol’ as Mentor

Country radio personality Bobby Bones has revealed that he's the latest addition to 'American Idol.' More on his role here!

Popular country radio personality Bobby Bones will be joining American Idol! The Arkansas native will act as a mentor to the top 24 contestants, helping them with their stage presence, media relations, social media strategy, and keeping focused during the competition. Longtime host Ryan Seacrest will return to his American Idol post with superstars Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie servings as judges.

“It’s very exciting for me. I’m nervous that I’m not going to give good advice. I can’t say a lot about what I’m doing but I’ll be working with the Top 24 contestants,” Bones shared Wednesday morning through the Bobby Bones Show website.

The new season of American Idol premieres on Sunday, March 11th, at 8PM ET and Monday, March 12th at 8PM ET on ABC.

We feel that Bobby hits all the marks to be a great American Idol mentor and we look forward to watching him interact with the contestants! Yes, Bobby does have plenty of live performance and music video creation experience…
