Country music stars Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, Kelly Clarkson, Lindsay Ell, Maren Morris, Jake Owen, Rascal Flatts, Jon Pardi, Hunter Hayes, Kip Moore, Michael Ray, Cole Swindell, Dustin Lynch, Maggie Rose, Brett Young, Cale Dodds, Trace Adkins, Old Dominion, and Travis Denning, are fed up with social media imposters preying upon their fans. The group of artists recently teamed up to create a helpful PSA video to help fans avoid being taken advantage of by those pretending to be the stars themselves.
“I’m Blake Shelton, and I want to talk to you about something that’s important: Imposters on social media,” Shelton shares.
“Every day, we’ve noticed more and more people,” he says of individuals creating misleading social media accounts. “So we want to make sure you know how to spot the signs of the fake accounts. Like the one called ‘Blakey Shelton.’ That’s bullshit.”
“Never give out any of your private information,” the Oklahoman adds.
