Country music superstar Blake Shelton is throwing a big party in Tishomingo, Oklahoma to celebrate Ole Red opening its doors!
Country music star Blake Shelton is gearing up to celebrate the official opening of his Ole Red restaurant and live music venue in Tishomingo, Oklahoma on Saturday, September 30th.
“It’s amazing to me to see a song that’s been such a big part of my career come to life in the plans for Ole Red,” stated Blake Shelton in an earlier press release. “Nashville and Tishomingo are both places that are important to me, and it’s great that each location is going to have its own personality inspired by one of my favorite songs. It’s always been a dream of mine to create something like this where people know they’re going to have a good time as soon as they walk in the door, and I couldn’t be more excited that my friends at the Opry and Ryman Hospitality Properties are making it happen.”
The brand new entertainment destination will open its doors with the party flowing into the streets as an outdoor stage plays host to performances by RaeLynn, and Blake’s fellow Grand Ole Opry members Ronnie Milsap, Jeannie Seely, and John Conlee. Shelton will be on the scene to co-host the special show with 650 AM WSM’s Bill Cody. The free “Blake & Friends” concert will begin at 7 PM CT and will be live streamed via Ole Red’s Facebook page here.
“Our community is in for a treat with the Opry bringing their famed broadcast to Tishomingo for this special show. It’s a proud day for us Oklahomans,” Shelton recently shared about the upcoming event.
The night before the giant block party, Shelton will perform a private concert from the Ole Red Tishomingo stage. Proceeds from the show will benefit the non-profit J.C. Reaching Out, a local charity that provides financial assistance to family members of people battling cancer. Just 130 tickets were offered up at $200 each and are already sold out.
Ole Red Tishomingo opens just a few months before Ole Red Nashville, a multi-level 26,000-square-foot entertainment venue in the heart of Nashville’s famed Lower Broadway. Expected to open in the Spring of 2018, Ole Red Nashville includes a two-story bar and restaurant, retail area, performance space, dance floor, private event space, and a 6,000-square-foot rooftop with an indoor-outdoor bar and restaurant featuring panoramic views of Lower Broadway. Both locations are operated by Ryman Hospitality Properties.
You can see Ole Red’s full menu of eats and drinks here. We’re rather curious about the “Charms Marshmallow Cookies”…
September will be a busy month for the Oklahoman— be on the lookout for Shelton’s brand new single “I’ll Name the Dogs,” which is set to drop on Friday (Sept. 8). Share this with other country music fans and start planning that trip to Tishomingo!
