Tis’ the season to get dressed up and Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are starting early!
The couple celebrated Stefani’s niece Stella’s (whose dad is Stefani’s brother Todd) birthday this past weekend (Oct. 20) in southern California and made sure they came dressed for the Halloween-themed occasion.
Stefani dressed as “Sally” from Tim Burton animated film The Nightmare Before Christmas and Shelton went as a “drunken sailor”, which might have been a last minute costume grab.
If you don’t remember “Sally”, she is the leading lady in the animated movie that was created by a mad scientist and later is the love interest of the main character “Jack”. Fitting role for Stefani! ❤
Stefani’s three children (who are fathered by her ex-husband, rock-singer Gavin Rossdale) were also in attendance dressed as a Star Wars character (Kingston, 12), SpongeBob SquarePants (Zuma, 10), and a scary wolfman (Apollo, 4).
The party was halloween-themed complete with a ghost pinata, spooooky cupcakes and other treats, and an accordion player (which is kind of creepy?).

We especially loved the videos of Shelton doing a drunken sailor dance, he really got into it!
As for Shelton and Stefani as a couple, the pair are doing amazing after 3 years of being together. We even got to see Shelton give his lady a serenade, which was totally sweet. Shelton sang his song “Turnin’ Me On” with lyrics:

If I’m what she wants, she gets what she wants
The neon’s buzzing when she pulls that string

Blake Shelton is keeping busy as a coach on NBC’s The Voice, the same place that he met Stefani. The show continues to be popular with fans in its 15th season.
As for Stefani, she is getting ready to re-release her holiday album titled You Make It Feel Like Christmas with five brand new songs! Will there be a duet with her man perhaps? We hope so!
