Emerging country crooner Ben Whisler recently dropped his introductory Can’t Complain EP and associated music video. The 21-year-old singer hails from East Tennessee and attended Nashville’s Belmont University, where he was inspired to chase his country music dreams.
After collaborating with producer/engineer Johnny Dibb, Whisler began assembling his debut project and carefully crafting his introduction to country music fans. He wrote all of the songs on Can’t Complain, which boasts feel-good anthems like “Float” and the title track as well as standouts “I Could Get Used To This” and “Worth A Shot”. His moving piano ballad “Damn This Rain” shows off Whisler’s more serious side while balancing out his more lighthearted tunes.
“I always told myself that I wasn’t going to release music until I felt that I had found the sound I thought truly represented me as a writer and as an artist. I feel ‘Can’t Complain’ is as close as we could get.” earnestly explains Whisler.
The young musician brings a fresh new buzz to the country music scene with his unforgettable lyrics and catchy melodies. His ode to hopeless bar room romantics everywhere in “Worth A Shot” offers an infectious chorus that is sure to be a fan favorite. The combination of a poppy banjo with a hip-hop backbeat make “I Could Get Used To This” arguably the most alluring track on the EP.
The Can’t Complain EP is available for free download on BenWhisler.com and is also available on iTunes, Spotify, and all digital streaming services.
