Luke Bryan Set to Make American Idol Season 3 Return

American Idol Season 3 is already holding auditions! Country music superstar Luke Bryan is coming back--- find out who else will be joining him!

American Idol Season 3 will welcome back Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie as judges! Country radio personality Bobby Bones will also act as the in-house mentor. Longtime host Ryan Seacrest is still involved in contract negotiations, but is also expected to return. Auditions for American Idol Season 3 are currently taking place and the competition should return to television in Spring 2020 on ABC.

Last year, Luke was excited to return to the show for the second season, because he knew what to expect.

“I’m more excited this year because I know what to expect. I’m not going to be scared the whole time. The fact that me and Lionel and Katy and Ryan we have one season under our belt; we know how much we can have fun with one another. We know how serious the contestants take it. We’re excited. I mean, I know we’re more excited than last year, just because we know what to expect, and it’s gonna be a lot of surprises and a lot of fun.”

The Georgia native says he loves being a judge on the show and helping make dreams come true. “We love the role – me and Katy and Lionel and Ryan – we’re having a great time doing this. If we weren’t having a good time, it would change the whole dynamic. To be able to facilitate these kids’ dreams is very special.”

“The trio is getting back together! Ready for another season of laughs, tears and wigs flying on @americanidol. Get out there and audition! You never know, #TheNextIdol could be you…,” Luke shared via Instagram with the news.
