File this one under “extremely memorable moment of a lifetime”— 8-year-old Vedder not only got to attend country music sensation Chris Stapleton’s concert at the Ak-Chin Pavilion in Phoenix, Arizona, he also got to sing alongside his idol!
During Stapleton’s performance of his breakthrough hit “Tennessee Whiskey,” Morgane Stapleton brought Vedder out into the spotlight from the edge of the stage. The youngster looked to be at home on the stage and totally went after the chorus and the more challenging high notes. The kid totally nailed it and even sang without the assistance of the vocal power couple. As expected, the crowd ate it up and met Vedder’s stunning performance with plenty of enthusiastic cheers.

Beyond sharing the stage with Stapleton, the artist also gave the budding musician his guitar pick as he exited the stage and returned to his family. What a cool memento.
“Vedder had a tough week with the passing of one of his favorite artists Chris Cornell. It was destiny that KMLE Country 107.9 upgraded our seats to Pit Passes and the rest is history,” the young man’s mother shared via Facebook. “Our son has been singing since before he could talk and his whole world is music. Thanks to Chris Stapleton and his beautiful wife Morgane Stapleton for creating such an amazing moment for Vedder.”
Something tells us that Vedder has a future in music. With a name like that— presumably named after Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder— it must come naturally.
