The 2019 CMT Artists of the Year performers and presenters have been announced! The ceremony will broadcast live from Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony Center on October 16th at 8pm ET/PT.

The 2019 CMT Artists of the Year televised special will honor Carrie Underwood, Dan + Shay, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, and Thomas Rhett! The 10th annual 90-minute program will highlight the five country acts who have dominated the last year in the country music.
“These five, stand-out honorees have dominated country music this year and we look forward to paying tribute to each of them at the 10th year anniversary CMT Artists of the Year event,” explained Leslie Fram, CMT’s Senior Vice President of Music Strategy & Talent. “From first-time honorees Dan + Shay, Kane Brown and Luke Combs to two-time honoree Thomas Rhett and now five-time honoree Carrie Underwood, this incredible collection of talent coming together at what marks a pivotal time in each of their careers promises to be a night of incredible performances and reflection.”
Reba McEntire will also be honored as the ‘Artist of a Lifetime’ and Ashley McBryde has been named the Breakout Artist of the Year!
“I have loved entertaining people since I was a little girl and after being in the music business more than 40 years, I’m still having so much fun! For CMT to recognize me as the Artist of a Lifetime is pretty special,” McEntire shared about being chosen for the award.
