The American Music Awards is a fan-voted award show and will broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on November 19th at 8:00 p.m. ET via ABC. This year, for the first time ever, the official 2017 AMAs red carpet pre-show will be live streamed exclusively on Twitter.

Nominations are based on key fan interactions as reflected in Billboard Magazine and on Billboard.com, including album and digital song sales, radio airplay, streaming, social activity and touring. These measurements are tracked by Billboard and its data partners, including Nielsen Music and Next Big Sound.

Overall, Bruno Mars is the top nominee with eight nods total, while The Chainsmokers, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Ed Sheeran, and The Weeknd all earned five nominations each.

After its release in August 2016, “Blue Ain’t Your Color” reached number one on the Country Airplay chart and number one on the Hot Country Songs chart, remaining there for twelve consecutive weeks. In June 2017, the song reached a million copies in sales. The track was also nominated for two Grammy Awards at the 59th Grammy Awards – ‘Best Country Solo Performance’ for Urban and ‘Best Country Song’ for its songwriters Steven Lee Olsen, Hillary Lindsey, and Clint Lagerberg.
