Kenny Chesney loves to have close friends join him on stage during his tours. Kenny was playing to a full AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas with over 46,000 fans in attendance on Saturday (June 4, 2016). Randy Travis was in attendance and became the most honored stage guest of the evening.
Randy Travis was sitting on the side stage for most of the show. Then the band played “Diggin’ Up Bones” from Travis’ 1986 album “Storms of Life” and Chesney invited Randy up on the main stage. The crowd appreciated the performance and applauded the Country legend. Watch this Instagram video to see Randy share the spotlight with Kenny on-stage:
Randy has recovered from a traumatic stroke and has started making his first stage and music video appearances. During the stage appearance, Chesney told the audience “Like George Jones, he is an original — and the real deal. It was great having him in the house, and it was great bringing him out for all the fans to see the man who brought so many young people to country music back in the ‘80s.”
