Country music entertainer Thomas Rhett and his 3-year-old daughter Willa Gray have the sweetest bonding moments! Check this out...
Country music star Thomas Rhett recently shared an aww-worthy photo of himself and his 3-year-old daughter Willa Gray wearing matching pink polka-dot bonnets at bedtime.
“Just a little night cap,” the Georgia native kidded in the snapshot’s caption.
This father-daughter moment is especially touching since the satin bonnet’s purpose is to protect the little one’s hair from potential damage caused by friction with a pillowcase. Many Instagram comments noted how awesome it is to see Thomas and wife Lauren Akins make the effort to care properly for Willa’s hair and embrace her specific needs.
The pair are doing all they can to help Willa embrace her Ugandan roots and understand her culture. While her first few years of life were full of change and transitions, the country star wants his eldest daughter to keep her feet firmly planted in both worlds.
“I hope that she can grow up and be super confident in the fact that she’s from there [Uganda] and not think of it as a bad thing. We always want to let her know where she came from, but also know that this [Nashville] is home,” Rhett shared with Taste of Country in a past interview.
“I hope that we can always, as she grows, incorporate things of her heritage. Music and dancing are so big in her culture,” the star also observed. “Thank goodness she came into my household because those are big things for us too.”
Willa is certainly adjusting well and appears to be enjoying every moment especially with little sister Ada James by her side!
